The Woburn Council on Aging is a municipal, volunteer board appointed by the Mayor. It is the responsibility of the Council to: 1) Identify the needs of the communities elder population and available resources; 2) Educate the community at large regarding the needs of the elderly; and 3) Design, promote and implement needed services.
MISSION OF THE WOBURN COA
The Mission of the Woburn Council on Aging is to ensure the highest possible quality of management and leadership, with regard to our communitys use of its human, physical and fiscal resources for the elderly.
The Woburn COA Senior Center provides information, referrals, information, outreach, advocacy, transportation, health screening, nutrition, education, peer support, recreation, volunteer development and intergenerational programming.
Hours
The Woburn Senior Center is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional events are offered on weekends.
The Woburn COA holds its open monthly meetings the first Monday of each month at 10:00 a.m. In the event of a holiday, the meeting is held on the second Monday of the month.
