LEO GOES HIGH-TECH: Leo Burnett, better known for Kellogg’s Tony the Tiger than for high-tech clients, said it agreed to acquire TFA Communications, a Chicago firm specializing in advertising for technology companies. The Chicago ad giant has made a string of small acquisitions, but this is the first that Burnett plans to integrate into its U.S. operations. TFA is being renamed TFA/Leo Burnett Technology and will operate as Burnett’s eighth "miniagency" under a recently overhauled structure. TFA founder Sean B. Bisceglia becomes a Burnett executive vice president. TFA/Leo Burnett will assume responsibility for Burnett’s Motorola account. Terms weren’t disclosed, but TFA’s 1997 revenue was about $12.5 million.
