Burnett to acquire high-tech shop TFA

Leo Burnett Co. Chicago, will acquire privately held TFA Communications, a business-to-business agency specializing in high-tech clients. TFA, which projects $88 million in capitalized billings this year, will be renamed TFA/Leo Burnett Technology and its Chicago office will relocate to Burnett’s headquarters building. TFA offices in Dallas and Boston will continue in operations and plans to open a San Francisco office by yearend are going forward. TFA CEO Sean Bisceglia will continue in that role and become an exec VP of Leo Burnett USA. TFA and Burnett share clients Motorola and Chicago-based electric utility Unicom Energy Solutions Group.
